Meet Us on the Second Monday of Every Month!
Doors open at 6:30pm and meeting starts at 7:00 with a business meeting followed by a speaker or activity. Meetings are held at First Baptist Church Lewisville, 1251 Valley Ridge Pkwy, Lewisville, Texas.

Community Service

Land O’Lakes Quilt Guild is a non-profit dedicated to giving back to the North Texas community. We provide a membership driven forum for quilters and quilt enthusiasts to learn more about the art and history of quilting.   Guild members give back in several different ways.

Quilts for the Rainbow Room

Members work together to provide quilts to the Rainbow Room, an emergency resource center for children entering into foster care. The Rainbow Room provides children with toiletries, clothes, school supplies, and more. It is the goal of the guild that each child entering foster care receives a quilt. Members contribute to the quilts by creating quilt tops, making quilt backs, or quilting and completing quilts. This is a great opportunity to give back to the community while practicing your piecing and quilting skills.

Placemats for Meals on Wheels

Members make placemats which are delivered with meals through the Meals on Wheels program. Join us for a meeting to learn more, or receive the dimensions/patterns.

Quilt Guild Ongoing Activities

Block of the Month

The block of the month is the opportunity to practice a new technique, learn a different way of constructing a block, or stepping outside of your comfort zone with a new to you quilt style. Each meeting the Block of the Month is introduced, along with the pattern. Those who are participating have an opportunity to showcase their blocks to be entered into a drawing. At the end of the year members put together their blocks in various formats to showcase their work.

Guild Challenge

The guild challenge is set forth by the guild president at the beginning of each year. In years past the challenge has focused on a theme of the President’s choosing. Members make quilted items with the theme in mind, and following the specifications set forth by the president such as size, finished or unfinished, etc. Past guild challenge themes: Nature, Circles- incorporate circles in your design, 4 techniques-create a quilt using four different quilting techniques. Stay tuned to discover what this years challenge will be!
